State the procedure, not just the position
6G describes the welding position. It does not describe the material, the process, the wall thickness or the code the work is inspected against. A requirement that says “6G welders” is a start; one that says 6G, carbon steel, GTAW root with SMAW fill and cap, to a named procedure, is a requirement that can actually be matched. The more of that you send, the less time is lost to a welder failing a test on arrival.
