Gulf Orbit

Pipe Fitter supply in Saudi Arabia

Measures, cuts, aligns and fits up pipework and supports ready for welding or mechanical joining, working from isometrics.

Direct answer

Gulf Orbit supplies pipe fitters across Saudi Arabia for piping installation, fit-up and support work on oil and gas, petrochemical, industrial and infrastructure projects.

What they do on site

  • Work from isometric drawings to measure, cut and prepare pipe
  • Fit up joints to the alignment and gap the welding procedure requires
  • Install pipe supports, hangers, guides and anchors
  • Fit flanges, valves and fittings to the correct orientation and rating
  • Hand over completed spools and lines for inspection and testing

Fit-up quality decides weld quality

A welder can only work with the joint presented to them. Poor alignment, wrong gap or an out-of-tolerance bevel produces repair work no matter how good the welder is. This is why fitters and welders are better requested together: when both sit in the same supplied crew under one supervisor, the interface between them is managed rather than argued about.

Fitter or fabricator?

A pipe fitter installs and fits up in place, on the rack or in the trench. A pipe fabricator works in the shop producing spools from drawings. The rate card lists them separately because the working environment and the skills differ. Say whether the work is site installation or shop fabrication.

How to request this trade

  1. 1

    Send the requirement

Trade, headcount, site location, start date, duration and shift pattern. Anything you can add about site access and permit requirements shortens the next step.

  2. 2

    Requirement review

We confirm what is available against your dates and flag anything in the scope that will affect mobilization.

  3. 3

    Worker matching

Workers are matched to the trade and to the site conditions — industrial versus building work are not interchangeable, and we do not treat them as such.

  4. 4

    Documentation and client approval

Iqama, identification and trade documentation are submitted for your review. Nobody mobilizes before you approve the profiles.

  5. 5

    Quotation and purchase order

Commercial terms are issued against the confirmed scope. A purchase order is required before mobilization.

  6. 6

    Mobilization and site induction

Workers are briefed on your site induction, permit-to-work and access requirements before they start.

  7. 7

    Ongoing support

Attendance, replacement and scale-up handled through a single point of contact for the duration of the requirement.

Documentation supplied with every worker

Iqama, identification and trade documentation are available for client review before mobilization. Where a client requires a specific certification or a trade test before a worker is accepted on site, say so in the requirement and it will be addressed during matching rather than after arrival.

Frequently asked questions

Can pipe fitters be supplied with welders as one crew?

Yes, and it is usually the better request. Send the line list or the scope and a crew shape can be proposed with the fitter-to-welder ratio built in.

Do your pipe fitters read isometrics?

Drawing-reading is part of the trade, but the level varies with experience. If your scope is complex or the isometrics are dense, say so in the requirement so it is matched on.
