What drives demand here
Yanbu is two places for a manpower supplier. The industrial city mirrors Jubail on the Red Sea coast, with refining, petrochemical and power facilities that draw on the same welding, piping, rigging and scaffolding trades and the same turnaround-driven demand. Yanbu Al-Bahr, the older town, has its own port, housing and municipal works, which need civil and finishing trades instead.
A west-coast industrial city with an east-coast crew base
Yanbu's facilities call for the same industrial trades as Jubail and Ras Tanura, so crews for Yanbu are drawn from the same register and mobilized with the cross-country lead time that distance requires — send the window and headcount as early as you have them.
Turnaround and maintenance work follows the same pattern
As with the Eastern Province industrial cluster, shutdown and planned maintenance work in Yanbu concentrates demand for welders, riggers and scaffolders into fixed windows. The planning advice is identical: raise the requirement early and send the phased headcount, not an average.

Yanbu Al-Bahr, the port and the town
Outside the industrial city, Yanbu Al-Bahr has a commercial port, housing, schools, hotels and a waterfront that are extended and maintained continuously. Port work draws on riggers, crane and forklift operators, welders and fitters. Town projects draw on civil and finishing trades: steel fixers, masons, carpenters, tile fixers, painters, electricians and plumbers. Say whether your site is in the town or the industrial city, because access rules and the trade mix differ.
Planning travel and accommodation from the east
A crew for Yanbu travels across the Kingdom, and its first days depend on accommodation, daily transport and site inductions being ready. Accommodation and transport are quoted on request, and industrial sites add their own gate-pass process. Send the accommodation arrangement you prefer, the shift pattern and the gate-pass lead time with the RFQ, so travel is booked against a confirmed start date rather than an estimate.
A travelling crew needs its own supervision
A crew working far from the Eastern Province offices needs someone on site who owns it day to day: attendance, welfare at the accommodation, daily transport, replacements, and the link with your site team. For anything beyond a handful of workers, include a supervisor or general foreman in the Yanbu request. That keeps problems from travelling back and forth across the country and gives your team one person to call for the whole crew.
Export terminals and tank farms
Yanbu is the western end of the pipeline network that carries crude across the Kingdom, so its terminals, tank farms and loading facilities add their own maintenance work: tank shell and roof repairs, internal scaffolding, confined-space entry, pipeline and valve work, and protective coatings exposed to sea air. Say whether the work is at a terminal, a tank farm or inside a plant, so scaffolders, welders and coating crews used to those conditions are put forward and the confined-space arrangements are planned.
Royal Commission access in Yanbu
Yanbu Industrial City is administered by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, and each plant inside it adds its own gate pass, safety induction and permit rules. Worker names, iqamas and trade documents usually have to be submitted before passes are issued, so the approval step can take longer than the journey from the Eastern Province. Share both the Royal Commission and the plant requirements with the RFQ, so applications start as soon as the CVs are approved.
The refineries and the Red Sea export port
Yanbu Industrial City is a refining and export centre on the Red Sea. Its refineries include YASREF, Aramco's joint venture with Sinopec, designed for 400,000 barrels a day and inaugurated in 2016, and SAMREF, Aramco's refinery with ExxonMobil's Mobil affiliate. Crude arrives from the Eastern Province by the East-West pipeline and leaves through King Fahd Industrial Port, completed by the Royal Commission in 1982. Name the refinery or terminal in the RFQ: card and induction rules differ from one operator to the next.
