Jubail Industrial City is home to world-scale petrochemical complexes, refineries, fertilizer and steel plants, and the utilities that serve them, administered by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. Turnarounds and routine maintenance there need safety-inducted, permit-ready scaffolders, welders, pipe fitters, riggers and E&I technicians, planned against fixed shutdown programmes that several plants often run in the same season.

Turnaround and shutdown crews

Hazardous areas and permit discipline

Most work in Jubail Industrial City happens inside operating plants with classified hazardous areas, where hot work, confined-space entry, working at height and electrical isolation each need their own permit. Workers must stay within the permit's scope, respect gas-test results and fire-watch rules, and stop when conditions change. Tell us the plant's permit system and any plant-specific safety passport or induction in the RFQ, so workers are prepared for it rather than learning it on the first shift.

Rotating equipment, instruments and electrical scopes

Turnarounds in Jubail are not only scaffolding and welding. Pumps and compressors are overhauled by mechanical fitters, instruments come off and go back on with E&I technicians, and motors and switchgear are handled by industrial electricians under isolation. Those scopes often run in parallel with piping work on the same unit, so they need their own supervision. Include them in the same RFQ, so the whole shutdown crew is planned together.

Routine maintenance between turnarounds

Between turnarounds, many plants keep smaller crews on routine and preventive maintenance: scaffolders for inspection access, fitters, electricians and helpers on day shift, with extra trades added for short outages. Those crews benefit most from staying on the same plant, because they already hold its induction and know its permit office. State the expected duration and the plant, and ask for continuity of workers across the contract.

Scaffold inspection, tagging and modification

In Jubail's plants, a scaffold is not usable until it has been inspected and tagged, and every modification during the work needs the same. That means a turnaround scaffolding crew is not only erecting: a share of the crew is always modifying and re-handing scaffolds as the mechanical work moves, and a scaffold supervisor coordinates inspections with the plant's scaffold inspectors. Tell us the plant's tagging system and who inspects, so the crew includes the supervision and modification capacity the window really needs.

Jubail town and the ports

Not every Jubail requirement is inside a plant fence. The older town has its own commercial streets, housing and municipal works, and the ports around Jubail, including King Fahd Industrial Port, handle bulk and liquid cargo for the industrial city. Port and terminal work needs riggers, crane and forklift operators, welders and fitters for maintenance on berths and handling equipment. Say whether your site is in the town, a port or the industrial city, because the access rules and the trade mix differ for each.

Housing and community projects

The Royal Commission area of Jubail includes large residential communities with schools, hospitals, mosques, parks and commercial centres, and they are extended and maintained continuously. That work draws on the civil register: masons, steel fixers, shuttering carpenters, plaster masons, tile fixers and painters, with electricians, plumbers and AC technicians for the buildings' services. Community sites usually have their own working-hour and worker-registration rules, so share them with the RFQ.
