Storekeepers receive deliveries and check them against the order, record and store material by location, issue against requisitions, track consumption, and report shortages and reorder levels before they stop the work.
Most stock problems begin at the gate. A storekeeper checks each delivery against the purchase order and delivery note: quantity, size, grade, damage, and the documents that must travel with it, such as mill certificates or test reports. Anything short, wrong or damaged is recorded before it is accepted. A store that receives carefully rarely has to explain later why the site is short of something it paid for.
A store that hands out material to whoever asks cannot tell you what was used where. Good storekeepers issue only against approved requisitions, record which crew or work order received each item, and track consumables such as welding rods, grinding discs, gases and PPE by crew. That record is what lets your cost engineer see consumption by area, and what catches waste early.
On a shutdown, the store runs to the clock. Materials are pre-kitted by work package, tools are issued from a crib against a tag or card and checked back in at shift end, and consumables are replenished at the work fronts. Missing tools at the end of a shift can hold up the next one. If your requirement is a shutdown store or tool crib, say so, and share the window and shift pattern.
Store records can live on paper cards, in a spreadsheet or in an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle. A storekeeper strong on a spreadsheet may be slow in an ERP transaction screen, and the reverse. Name the system your project uses, and whether the storekeeper will post receipts and issues themselves, so the match covers the system as well as the store.
A storekeeper usually works with forklift operators and helpers who move and stack material, and reports to a general foreman, site administrator or materials controller. On large projects, a senior storekeeper runs several stores, and shutdowns add tool-crib attendants on each shift. Send the store size, system and shift pattern, and the stores team is proposed together.

Iqama, identification and trade documentation are available for client review before mobilization. Where a client requires a specific certification or a trade test before a worker is accepted on site, say so in the requirement and it will be addressed during matching rather than after arrival.
